SCREEN TIME AND THE DEVELOPING BRAIN: What damage is really being done?

How this Workshop Can Help?

In the approaching 'post-pandemic' era, there is no time better than now to address the need for boundaries and limits on screen time for children. Understanding the effects of the screen use in terms of type of screen, content of programming and other related concerns to visual stimulation on the developing brain is a pressing issue that should not be ignored! Setting children and teens up for success with boundaries and self-discipline with their behaviours towards technological devices is a key skill they can apply across their lifetime.
Note: Personalized therapy is best offered through a direct therapist-client session.

What You'll Learn:

  • Children's brains are vulnerable, as parents we need to be proactive in protecting them and keeping them thriving.
  • Effects visual stimulation on the developing brain.
  • Learn about what screen time limits are needed for your child's healthy development.
  • Discuss the dangers with certain social media and gaming activities.
  • Live, interactive, therapist-led Q & A at end of workshop.
