Parent Support Group - Bi-Weekly Workshops

Parent Support Group

Join our Parent Support Group, a safe and inclusive space where you can connect and learn from other parents who understand the joys and challenges of raising children and teens. Our group forum provides a valuable opportunity to share experiences and gain valuable insights from fellow parents who are navigating similar journeys.

Bi-weekly Workshops

Starting January 24th, we are excited to offer bi-weekly workshops designed specifically for parents of children and teens. These workshops will take place every other Wednesday, with separate sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of parents with children and parents with teens.

Led by Steve Wilding, a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist, these workshops will focus on enhancing communication between you and your child regarding mental health. You will learn effective coping skills to better navigate emotional and behavioral outbursts, as well as strategies to manage expectations and responsibilities while reducing anxieties.

In addition, Steve will provide assistance in overcoming personal fears, fostering improved openness to new people and environments. You will also gain a heightened sense of self-recognition and personal success, as you connect with other program parents in our supportive and nurturing group forum.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to enhance your parenting skills and find solace in a community that understands your journey. Mark your calendars for every other Wednesday starting January 24th, at 5pm for parents of children and 5:30pm for parents of teens.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Parent Support Group and helping you build strong and fulfilling relationships with your children and teens.

"From the moment we’re born, we start writing the story of our lives. As we grow, we encounter situations and changes that shape our lives into our own individual journey. Everyone’s story is unique and not one life is the same as another. This personal experience is full of suspenseful moments, unexpected plot twists, and challenging obstacles.

I strive to offer a safe place where individuals can be heard, understood, and supported through these chapters of life. I am committed to working with you as you reflect on your story to help you identify the accomplishments, strengths and skills it already tells to assist in the obstacles of the journey ahead.

Reading back through our story, it can be easy to focus on the difficult chapters, but I also know that these challenges do not define the blank pages ahead. I believe that every individual has the strength and skills to persevere through their circumstances and make their story one of endurance and accomplishment. Your story is far from over and the journey has just begun.

With over 5 years working with children and teens, my therapy primarily centers around individuals who may be struggling with parts of their story including feelings of anxiety or depression, behavioral issues, ADHD, divorce and family issues, and other struggles that may arise.
